TEETH BRIGHTENING TABLETS
INGREDIENTS
Here is the list of ingredients used in UnWined® Patent Pending technology and what they are used for in our product.
Xylitol - A non- cavity forming sweetener. This provides a slight sweetness, but has orally beneficial properties. Oral bacterial that cause cavities think this is a sugar they can digest, but they cannot which ultimately kills them. There is a lot of literature about the oral health benefits of Xylitol.
Calcium Carbonate - A calcium source and mild abrasive to help clean teeth. This material can help neutralize acids as well. This is commonly found in toothpastes and also present in many nutraceutical and pharmaceutical products. Some nutritional (vitamin) products will use calcium carbonate as a calcium source for people who require additional calcium.
PVP - Helps bind and remove staining species and also helps break the tablet up . Commonly used in food applications, nutraceutical, pharma and oral care products.
Dicalcium Phosphate - This is the mineral that your teeth are made out of, which is also called hydroxyapatite. This helps to replenish minerals that were lost from the teeth due to acids that were consumed (termed Demineralization). This material when used in conjunction with proper buffering agents (such as sodium bicarbonate and calcium carbonate) can encourage the deposition of essential minerals back onto the tooth surface.
Sodium Carboxymethycellulose - This is a modified plant cellulose which is used to help hold the product together and allow materials to be pressed into this novel and discreet form. This is a very common excipient in nutritional/pharma products.
Sodium Bicarbonate - Baking soda. This material neutralizes acids present in the oral cavity which allows the abrasive/polishing materials to be safely used. This material also promotes a more favorable environment for remineralization by neutralizing acids, especially when used in conjunction with the Dicalcium phosphate. This material is commonly found in foods, gums and oral care products.
Silicon dioxide - Silica. Commonly found in toothpaste as an abrasive to help remove bacteria, biofilm and stains. This material gently polishes tooth to remove surface stains and helps to protect the product from moisture. This is found in toothpaste, nutraceutical/pharmaceutical/vitamin type products.
Magnesium Stearate - A lubricant used in the manufacture of the tablets to help ensure uniformity and proper flow properties of the mixture. This material has a very low use level and is commonly found in nutritional, OTC, and pharmaceutical products for the same purpose.
